2017 CARMEL VALLEY GARDEN SHOW May 6th & May 7th
At Hidden Valley Music Seminars, Carmel Valley, CA

The Carmel Valley Garden Show features beautiful plant and floral displays with accredited judging and demonstrations. The hand-picked vendors at our marketplace present plants, products and advice that can enhance your garden and your life. New this year: photography contest and live music. Proceeds from the popular Silent Auction and food cafe allow us to make donations to local non-profits dedicated to improving the beauty and environment in Carmel Valley.  The Children’s Garden offers activities and music for kids preschool to upper elementary. You’ll find delicious food, wine, beer, coffee and other beverages. This is one event that should not be missed! Free admission,  parking $1

Flower Arrangements
We encourage you to enter one or more arrangements. You may enter as many classes as you like. All entries are to be brought to Hidden Valley Music Seminars between 3:30 pm and 6:30 pm Friday, May 5th. Please download the rules or go to Carmel Valley Library for a copy.

Class 1: Mountain High – a primarily red, yellow and orange arrangement
Class 2: Clear Blue Water – blue, purple arrangement
Class 3: White Water – all white arrangement
Class 4: Branching out at the Farmers’ Market – an arrangement using dried or fresh fruits and/or vegetables with flowers in the designer’s choice of colors
Class 5: Riverside – a water garden arrangement using designer’s choice of appropriate materials
Class 6: Winding Through – a pastel arrangement done in a free style
Class 7: Water Under the Bridge – an imaginative arrangement open to men only
Class 8: River Banks –  all green-colored arrangement
Class 9: Small Trickle of Water – miniature arrangement: designer’s choice of color and materials; no larger than 6” in any direction

Youth Entries
Class 10:  open to children 14 and under. All children will receive a ribbon.
a. Splashing at River’s Edge – designer’s choice of floral arrangement.
b. Tiny Delights – miniature arrangement, designer’s choice of colors and materials;  no larger than 6″ in any direction.
c.  Other – container

Cut Flowers 

You may enter cut flowers in several categories: Containers, Flowering Shrubs, Perennials, Iris, Annuals, Vines and Roses. For detail please download a copy of the rules which is designed for paper 8.5” x 14”.

In addition, on Saturday evening, May 6th, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, there is a special Garden Gala celebratory party featuring a bounty of hors d’oeuvres, wine, and entertainment amidst all the beautiful entries in the flower show.  Hidden Valley Music Seminars makes the arrangements and provides the food, wine and music for the gala.  The Carmel Valley Garden Club suggests that all attendees make a minimum donation of $25 to support HVMS and their contribution to our show.  Tickets are available at the door.
